Have a minimum of 3 years engineering experience in the areas of valves, control valves and steam applications
Possess a Diploma/Degree in Engineering
Ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal) and contribute to the overall team sales
Possess a strong positive attitude towards customer service excellence
Conduct technical and/or product training to internal and external customers
Have own vehicle which will be an advantage
Job Scope and Responsibilities:
Support the sales team by identifying the right products to meet customers\xe2\x80\x99 requirements:
Develop strong relationships with customers as a trusted advisor to facilitate engineering solutions by visiting customers regularly, providing pre-sales and post sales support.
Work with sales teams to interpret customer requirements, deliver solutions and manage customer expectations with the end-goal of sales in mind
Work as a consultant to the sales teams and clients to problem-solve and make recommendations during the sales process.
2. Provide engineering solutions to resolve customers\xe2\x80\x99 engineering challenges through troubleshooting
Offer workable solutions to help solve customers\xe2\x80\x99 problems.
Participate in technical discussions with the client\xe2\x80\x99s engineering or maintenance teams and address any process or engineering concerns.
Be able to think critically and suggest improvements that might lead to cost savings or other client benefits.
Work with our Technical Service Unit to implement engineering solutions for customers.
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing the company\xe2\x80\x99s service standards.
3. Deliver presentation or in-depth training of Company\'s products/solutions to customers.
Develop and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations that explain key technical aspects of solutions that will benefit customers and prospects. Effectively tailor presentations for customers and special events.
Conduct technical and/or product training for internal and external customers.
Engage in developing company\xe2\x80\x99s marketing resources when necessary.
4. Source and broaden Company\'s product range from reliable local/overseas suppliers
Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
Communicate and negotiate with Principals/suppliers to bring the most cost-effective benefits and solutions to customers.
Act as an intermediary between customers and suppliers to address any technical requirements and clarifications.
5. Be an effective contributor to the project team
Develop technical solutions in engineering projects from inception to completion.
Support the project teams by engaging in technical discussions with customers and suppliers to ensure that project is delivered on time and with budget.
Be prepared to offer alternative workable solutions when unforeseen problems surface during the project execution.
Ensure all information related to the project is properly documented and stored in company database.
