We are looking for a Team Lead, Sales Development to join the Aiven Sales team and help develop and lead the APAC SDR Team. You will be instrumental in building, training and scaling our SDR Team across ANZ, Singapore, SEA and Japan, and exceed results across the territory.
The successful candidate will use creativity and persistence to continuously improve performance as measured by key metrics. They will be familiar with working cross-functionally to promote and sell technical products to sophisticated prospects.
You will report directly to the Global Director of Sales Development.
What you'll be doing:

  • Build, train and lead a high-performing team of 6+ SDRs and 3+ Sales Analysts.
  • Ensure the creation of new business pipelines by working with the other Team Leads (NA and EMEA) to replicate success, analyze results and try new ideas accordingly.
  • Work on constant collaboration with Marketing and Field Marketing, Direct Sales, and other departments to successfully run campaigns and events,
  • Responsible for the hiring process across the region.
  • Onboard, train and coach high-performing SDRs and take them to the next step in their career.
Requirements:
What we're looking for:
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience in B2B. Big plus if Tech, data, cloud in SAAS
  • Previous SDR experience including cold calls, emails and LinkedIn
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Other languages (Japanese, Bahasa, Chinese a plus)
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams
  • Strategic leader comfortable with analytics, data.
  • Excited to manage and look after a multicultural team
  • CRM and marketing automation experience, Salesforce / Outreach a plus
  • Experience using various methods to establish contact with technical prospects
  • Demonstrated experience developing effective messaging strategies
  • Background in working within tech industry
