The sales of mobile satellite communication services throughout the Asia Pacific area will fall within the purview of this senior role. In order to assist the sales effort in the Pacific Region, the Sales Director will oversee a Sales and Sales assist Team located in the Singapore office.
The Sales Director will find, nurture, and close high-value prospects related to engineering services, L band, and VSAT.
Maintaining and expanding current accounts as well as bringing in new business and customers will be the major goals, with a special emphasis on the maritime industry.
The candidate would be expected to oversee the Sales and Sales Support Team, which consists of more than five employees, in the Singapore office in addition to their own sales target responsibilities.
The Sales/Regional Director will be expected to create an immediate impression due to their extensive industry knowledge, contacts, and expertise. Being a driven and well-organized person, we expect them to travel widely and frequently in order to serve as many clients as possible throughout the greatest area.
In order to provide results, this role will need to prioritise both direct sales and accelerate the growth of our indirect sales channel.
In addition to participating in frequent sales reviews, the sales director is expected to regularly produce sales pipeline reports and projections that include opportunities and prospects for both their team and their own clients or prospects. The position will be in an office. Candidates must be able to work independently to some extent and possess a proactive sales attitude.
To guarantee a polished and expert service to the final customer, the Sales Director will work in tandem with different teams within our company that support the sales function, specifically service activation, engineering, and customer support.

Requirements:
Over ten years of expertise in the satellite communications industry in both direct and indirect sales roles, with a proven track record of success in a variety of verticals.
Over five years of supervisory experience
Proven track record of selling VSAT and other satellite services both directly and indirectly
Outstanding proficiency in both written and spoken English
Technical know-how in VSAT services, including iDirect, VSAT operators, etc.
