About Company:

Established in 1982, our client is well-known for its extensive global logistics and transportation network. They specialize in freight forwarding, chartering of barges, warehousing, transport of cargoes, and packing & crating services.

Main contact for bulk shipping, building and maintaining relationships with shipping companies and handling quotations Conduct sales activities to secure new business opportunities from shippers Prepare quotations for import/export operations, develop new clients, and maintain relationships with existing clients Business trips to Japan and Southeast Asia for sales activities when required Other ad hoc projects/duties as assigned by the company

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the logistics industry, shipping companies, or freight forwarders Practical experience in import/export operations and preparing quotations Proven track record in new business development and client relationship management Proficient in English and Japanese to liaise with Japanese speaking counterparts and customers Proactive in conducting outside sales visits Understanding of Japanese business etiquette and practices (experience in a Japanese company is a plus) Preferably experience in arranging conventional vessels and negotiating with shipping companies Knowledge and experience in bulk vessel business is a plus point Sales and customer oriented
