Job/Position Description:

Albemarle Energy Storage GBU is projecting significant growth in APAC over the next few years. This is a newly created position to sale co-products for the manufacturing site in Kemerton, West Australia to maximize profitability. This position will have accountability for meeting or exceeding financial targets, setting, and implementing the overall sales strategy and managing sales in Australia and APAC markets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop the sales strategies and account plans for all key customers and distributors in line with business strategy
  • Achieve/exceed sales objectives (through both revenue & profit through value selling) for Kemerton plant
  • Owns the Albemarle customer interface with assigned customer portfolio as well as new customers
  • Successfully negotiate, implement, and secure current and new business opportunities
  • Forecast accurate sales volume and revenues and meets/exceeds the annual operating plan targets
  • Develop, teach, and apply Challenger Selling tools and techniques in customer interactions

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree at least, major in chemistry/engineering/materials is preferred
  • 5-10 years working experience with at least 3 years of Sales experience, industry experience in mining, metallurgy or chemical is desired
  • Experience in a global, multi-cultural or multi-country environment is required
  • Strong strategic, analytic, networking and negotiation skills are required
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance environment; proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change
  • Ability to navigate and influence in a global matrix organization is required
  • Proven relationship management skills and ability to communicate and influence stakeholders
  • Comfortable engaging individuals of all levels in the organization
  • Curious and able to respectfully challenge the status quo
