Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and versatile

SAP BTP Lead Developer

to provide technical leadership, define the architectural roadmap, and drive the design, development, and support of scalable, secure cloud-native and side-by-side extension applications on the

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

. This role requires deep technical expertise in

SAP BTP

ABAP on HANA

, and hands-on experience with

S/4HANA RISE

and

S/4HANA GROW

transformations, with a focus on ensuring a clean core architecture. The role involves leading technical teams, performing custom code remediation, managing integration, and providing technical support and operational oversight for SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Team Management

Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of SAP developers (BTP, ABAP, integration). Define the technical/architectural roadmap for SAP S/4HANA GROW and RISE installations. Conduct code reviews, design validations, and architecture risk assessments. Coordinate delivery timelines, sprint planning, and technical upskilling. Serve as a trusted advisor on all technological aspects of SAP S/4HANA conversions and upgrades.

Full Stack Development & Architecture on SAP BTP

Design and build secure, scalable, cloud-native applications using

SAPUI5/Fiori

,

Node.js/Java (CAP)

, and

SAP BTP Cloud Foundry

. Implement secure and scalable backend services using the

Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)

or

ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)

, integrating with on-premise or cloud S/4HANA. Manage and utilize key BTP services such as

SAP S/4HANA Transformation & ABAP Development

Lead and guide the shift to

clean core

principles, primarily using

side-by-side extensions on BTP

. Perform

custom code analysis and remediation

using tools like

ATC

(ABAP Test Cockpit),

Readiness Check

, and

CVI

. Develop and optimize ABAP code using

CDS views

,

AMDPs

,

OData

,

BOPF

, and

RAP

. Collaborate with functional teams to modernize legacy enhancements and Z-programs during S/4HANA upgrades/migrations. Build custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and workflows. Possess strong functional integration command over modules like

HR ABAP

(infotypes, payroll, time management),

FI (FICO)

, and

SD

(sales order, billing, pricing) processes.

Technical Operations & Security

Provide technical support and monitoring for

SAP S/4HANA GROW

and

RISE

environments and integrations. Configure, enhance, and upgrade SAP S/4HANA applications. Handle day-to-day support tasks including problem resolution, configuration changes, production support, and documenting. Implement and manage security best practices on BTP, including data protection, authentication, and authorization. Lead

IAS (Identity Authentication Service)

and

IPS (Identity Provisioning Service)

migrations and integrations, and manage roles, authorizations, and access control across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Provide expertise in user provisioning and Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

8+ years of SAP development experience

.

3+ years in SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry)

experience. Strong background in

ABAP on HANA

development. Deep working knowledge of

HR ABAP

,

FI

, and

SD

modules. Hands-on experience with

SAPUI5/Fiori

,

Node.js

,

Java (CAP)

, and

RAP

. Proven experience in

custom code adaptation

for

S/4HANA RISE

and working experience with S/4HANA GROW and RISE landscapes. Experience in

SAP security concepts

. Experience with

at least one GROW and one RISE with SAP implementation project

. Familiarity with DevOps (

Git

CI/CD

), agile methodologies, and secure cloud development. Excellent communication, leadership skills, and the ability to convey complex technical principles to non-technical audiences.

Certifications:

SAP BTP Certification is a plus. * Relevant certifications in security and cloud architecture (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Specialist - SAP BTP, SAP Certified Application Associate).
