PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP's Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) team positions SAP and its leaders as innovators with influential audiences on select, highly relevant topics. Our strategy is to disrupt the information environment with relentless curiosity, compelling content, and rapid execution.

This internship will be supporting the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) Communications lead for SAP Midmarket and Partner Ecosystem Success (PES) business units. As a member of the APJ Corporate Affairs team, you will be exposed to different aspects of SAP's corporate affairs functions such as media relations; industry analyst relations; content creation; executive and employee communications. In this role, you will also get to interact with some of the largest global technology vendors and consulting firms within SAP's partner ecosystem.

The goal of this internship is to provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience from working on integrated communications projects for the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region, comprising Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and India, as key markets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Poosition title: SAP Intern - Integrated Communications
• Location: Singapore
• Expected start date and duration: January - June 2023
• Working Hours: preferably full time (5 days/week)

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The successful candidate will play an active role in the planning and execution of external and internal communications activities, specifically in support of the Midmarket and Partner Ecosystem Success (PES) business units in APJ. You will participate in the implementation of communication campaigns - including executive and partner communications, content conceptualisation and generation for traditional and social media channels, and in the process, gain insights to the global communications field of work in a fast-paced, multinational organisation.

Examples of your day-to-day responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:

• Creation and distribution of content including media pitches, press releases, by-line articles, blogs, infographics, videos (filming and editing), speeches, internal announcements, social media posts, and executive briefing documents
• Researching industry and partner trends, and speaking engagement opportunities for SAP business executives
• Monitor competitors' and partners' news, and flag issues and opportunities
• Assist with organising internal events including townhalls and coffee corners
• Staffing internal and external communication events such as media interviews
• Coordinate regional guidance and reporting with local market unit (MU) communications leaders, from APJ Communications hub

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

We are looking for candidates who dare to challenge conventional wisdom, offer unique perspectives, and conceive innovative solutions to effectively bridge the communication gap with influential audiences.

• Currently pursuing a diploma, degree, or masters in: Digital Media, Mass Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Political Science, Business, English Language/Literature, or related fields
• Strong oral and written English skills
• Critical thinker with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter with a proactive approach and keenness to learn
• Prior experience in communications, marketing, content editing, multi-media design or video production (filming and editing) will be an advantage
