Responsibilities:

Responsible for day-to-day project supervision for maintenance and repair of vessels.
To ensure safety and quality of work for scaffolders (in-house and sub-contractors) assigned under the person\xe2\x80\x99s responsibility.
To ensure work is completed in accordance with delivery schedule set by Ship Repairs Manager(SRM)
To ensure work assigned are carried out effectively and productively within the man hours budget and according to customer\xe2\x80\x99s specifications and requirement
Ensure good co-ordination and communication between work team, SRM, other departments and owners when work is carried out.

Requirements:

Preferably with at least 5 years working experience in a shipyard or in a similar capacity
Knowledge of erecting and dismantling scaffolding, maintenance, and inspection of scaffolding.
Knowledge of WSH Scaffolding Regulations and Requirements.
Able to read and understand Code Practice and Practice requirements for scaffolding
Familiarity with scaffolding tools such as Scaffold Wrench, Magnetic Levels, Pipe Cutters and Tool Safety Lanyards
Familiarity with using Self Retracting Fall Arrestor
Possess Shipyard Safety Supervisor Cert (SSSC)
Possess Marine Metal Scaffolding Supervisor Cert (MMSC)
Possess Working at Height for Supervisor Cert (WAH)
Able to adapt to changes.
Possess leadership abilities to manage workers and contractors
Able to work under pressure.
Able to work at heights
