Job Description

Responsibilities:


Develop, implement, and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical business systems. Manage and support backup operations across both physical and virtual environments. Configure and administer Dell EMC Isilon including capacity management, replication, and data protection. Oversee media handling, rotation schedules, and compliance with audit requirements. Maintain clear and updated documentation of policies, processes, and operational logs. Automate backup and storage tasks through scripting and scheduled jobs. Conduct regular backup validation and recovery tests to ensure data integrity. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to align storage and recovery objectives. Respond to incidents and service requests in accordance with IT service management best practices.


Requirements:


Strong background in enterprise backup and recovery technologies i.e. Veeam Backup & Replication and Dell EMC Isilon Experience administering large-scale storage platforms Proven ability to design and implement data protection strategies Familiar with handling media lifecycle management and compliance requirements Proficient in scripting and task automation (e.g., PowerShell and command-line) Knowledge of disaster recovery planning, including RPO and RTO considerations Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
