Job Description

:

\xc2\xb7 To provide counselling on an individual or group basis to students

\xc2\xb7 To do counselling casework which includes liaising with school management, teaching staff, parents, external agencies and external stakeholders

\xc2\xb7 To facilitate the necessary referrals to external agencies such as Reach Community Services and Family service Centres.

\xc2\xb7 To provide case consultations to school personnel and parents

\xc2\xb7 To ensure confidentiality and keep record all counselling work and case management as required by school and to provide school with report when necessary

\xc2\xb7 To support other Counsellors on running of the school programme

To be part of a team to devise and deliver preventive programmes for students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

Working Arrangement:

Location: Yishun

Contract Duration: 2 Jan 2024 to 24 May 2024

Working Hours:

\xc2\xb7 Weekdays (School Term):

\xc2\xb7 Estimated 28 (7.30am to 1.30pm = 5.5hrs/day with 30mins break) hours per week;

\xc2\xb7 Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, School holidays and gazetted public holidays

Job Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Trained Counsellor / Social Worker / Psychologist / Para Counsellor with relevant professional counselling qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Experienced in designing, planning and facilitating group guidance programmes for students

\xc2\xb7 Competent in working with parents

\xc2\xb7 Preferably 3 years of working with primary school students, in the capacity of counselling in a school context.
