School Director - Singapore

EF Education is an internationally recognised institution, with schools located all over the world. We are seeking a highly motivated School Director with drive and enthusiasm to grow the school. Reporting to the VP of Operations, APAC, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the school in accordance with EF policy and CPE and ERF criteria.

Qualifications and competencies

\xc2\xb7 Possesses a university degree with 10+ years of proven professional experience in general management, preferably within an educational institution catering primarily to international students

\xc2\xb7 Sensitive to needs of international students

\xc2\xb7 Able to handle complex and ambiguous scenarios

\xc2\xb7 Has led a sizable team in a fast-paced environment across various functions, yet skilled in overseeing a smaller team during slower periods, demonstrating a hands-on management style

\xc2\xb7 Human Resources management, specifically focusing on the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development of a small core team, including managerial staff

\xc2\xb7 Is action-oriented and possesses a sense of urgency that is solution focused and results in positive outcomes

\xc2\xb7 Knowledgeable of compliance with accreditation standards (CPE, ERF, and EduTrust Certification Scheme)

\xc2\xb7 Is highly adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced, transformational environment

\xc2\xb7 Experience setting, managing and working to budgets

\xc2\xb7 Strategic planning and business development

\xc2\xb7 Effective communication skills, including the ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate and communicate with external business partners and internal teams to meet operational performance goal

Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Motivate, inspire and lead a team of administrators and teachers to deliver an exceptional experience for our students

\xc2\xb7 Set and manage the school budget to ensure cost effective delivery

\xc2\xb7 Monitor and manage residence, host family and school capacity to accommodate both seasonal and year-on-year growth

\xc2\xb7 Recruitment of non-academic staff

\xc2\xb7 Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all students and staff

\xc2\xb7 Share emergency on call duties with other permanent school staff

\xc2\xb7 Comply with requirements to maintain accreditation and licensing status

\xc2\xb7 Negotiate with suppliers to ensure high quality, low cost provision of goods and services

\xc2\xb7 Liaise with a worldwide network of sales offices to assist them in meeting their sales objectives and responsibilities towards students
