5 Days (Mon to Fri: 8.00am to 3.00pm)
Lunch Break: 1 hour
(*Working hours may be subject to change to meet school operations needs)
OFFERED SALARY
S$1,300 to S$1,500 per month
Requirements
- Minimum PSLE qualification
- Must be able to read and converse in English
- Must have good interpersonal skills, pleasant disposition and enjoy working with students
- Must have prior experience working as a kitchen assistant / helper in schools
1) Assist the Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) teacher to prepare day-to-day or whenever necessary the ingredients required for Food and Consumer Education (FCE) and Food and Nutrition (F&N) lessons:
Cut and prepare specific portions of the ingredients for cooking according to the recipe given by teachers before the start of FCE or F&N lessons.
Advise teachers should there be insufficient ingredients for preparation of lessons.
2) In-charge of the day-to-day cleanliness of all the Cookery rooms in school. The duties include:
Sweeping and mopping the floor
Washing of utensils
Cleaning of kitchen equipment and sink
Cleaning of workbenches
Clearing of food in the refrigerators and cleaning the refrigerators - ensure expiry
Washing of rags using the washing machine
3) Perform stock-taking duties of consumables such as detergents, equipment
4) Any other duties assigned by NFS teachers
