What the role is:
School of Hospitality - Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (Hotel & Leisure Management)
What you will be working on:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Lecturer / Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will teach and develop curriculum in areas including Air Travel Management, Cruise and Rail Management, and Hotel and Resort Management. This role involves engaging students with industry-relevant knowledge and practical skills to prepare them for successful careers in the hotel and hospitality sectors.
What we are looking for:
Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant academic qualifications in hospitality, business, tourism, or related disciplines. A Degree is preferred.
• At least 8 to 10 years of practical industry experience in air travel, cruise, rail, resort, or hotel operations is highly desirable, providing real-world insights to enrich student learning.
• Strong knowledge of current hospitality industry trends, challenges, operational standards, and best practices.
• Experience collaborating with industry partners for internships, guest lectures, or practical training is an advantage.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry advancements.

Teaching & Professional Skills:

• Significant teaching experience in hotel and hospitality education, preferably at the tertiary or higher education level, with a proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
• Experience in curriculum design, development, and assessment aligned with industry needs and academic standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of students.
• Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom to enhance learning outcomes.
