School of Sports and Health - Project Scientist
(Project Management - Development of Cricket eCoaching Platform)
School of Sports and Health, whose vision is to be the leading educator in the area of sports, health and leisure, invites applicants to join its motivated and passionate team.
We are looking for an individual to join our funded project. The Project Scientist will join our faculty to assist in the research analysis of the 'big data' collected using computer vision approach.
The Project Scientist should possess strong interpersonal and project administrative skills. He/she will work closely with other project team members.

The Project Scientist will contribute and support in the following areas:

• Assist in the design of the data analysis programme using computer vision and machine learning algorithms
• Assist the project team in research data collection and administration
• Contribute to administration functions e.g. report preparation
• Manage ad-hoc research activities and assignments

Successful candidate will be placed on a contract (August 2025 - August 2026).
What we are looking for:
Applicants should possess the following:

• Relevant post-graduate qualification in IT related disciplines (preferably with at least 10 years of relevant experience)
• Independent worker with the ability to work with people at all levels
• Strong communication skills
• Good analytical and writing skills, task-oriented and focused on project schedule
• Proficient in digital design cum data-science and computer vision applications
