Job Description
Location: Woodlands
Working Hrs: 37.5hrs/weekly
Responsibilities:
1. Lesson Preparation: Assisting Science teachers in preparing materials and apparatus for lessons and practical exams.
2. Lab Maintenance: Maintaining cleanliness and organization of Science labs and Rooftop Garden.
3. Safety Practices: Ensuring adherence to safety practices in Science labs.
4. Stock Management: Keeping track of stock records and equipment lists.
5. Event Support: Assisting with Science-related events, such as Discover Science and STEM Carnival.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine servicing and maintenance of equipment, and arranging repairs when necessary.
7. Care for Fauna and Flora: Caring for plants and animals in the Science department.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience
1. Primary School Lab Setting: Experience working in a primary school laboratory setting is preferred.
Key Skills and Knowledge
1. Laboratory Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory equipment, chemical preparation, disposal procedures, and hazardous spill cleanup.
2. Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
3. Classroom Procedures: Understanding of classroom procedures, including facilitating science experiments and group work.
4. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain organization.
5. Attention to Detail: Careful attention to detail in documentation, summarization, and laboratory procedures.
6. Communication Skills: Ability to provide guidance, instructions, and directions to others.
