Working Hours
Personnel will be deployed at the following hours:
Mondays to Thursdays:
7:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (inclusive of 45-minute lunch break)
Fridays:
7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. (inclusive of 45-minute lunch break)
Saturdays, Sundays, and Gazetted Public Holidays:
No service required
Scope of Services
The Science Laboratory Attendant shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:
a) Set up and distribute chemicals, materials, and apparatus for daily science practical sessions, internal examinations, GCE 'O' Level examinations, and other science-related activities.
b) Clear and clean up after each laboratory session by ensuring proper disposal of chemicals and materials. Wipe tables and ensure the floor is clean and safe.
c) Check that all apparatus are in good working condition and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment as necessary.
d) Maintain laboratory safety standards and assist teachers in handling accidents or emergencies.
e) Participate in checking and maintaining inventory stock of laboratory items.
f) Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the school.
Qualifications and Skills
The Personnel shall minimally possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
a)
Educational Qualification:
PSLE or equivalent.
b)
Personal Attributes:
Organized, meticulous, and an excellent team player with the ability to multi-task.
c)
Communication Skills:
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
d)
Experience:
Preferably with prior laboratory experience in a school environment.
