Job Description

Selected candidates will work on projects related to skin care and healthcare products development and research focusing on: (i) Optimization and development of microneedle device for skin and health care application. (ii) Research and development to produce/design skin and healthcare formulations, and device for diagnosis or delivery of bioactives. (iii) Writing technical reports, maintaining necessary research and quality documentation (iv) Quality control, quality management and quality assurance, including in process quality control, and quality management. (v) Applying microfabrication technique in microneedle production. (vi) Intellectual property (IP) development The project involves microfabrication, GMP practice in small and large-scale manufacturing, production of microneedle, microbeads, microencapsulation, cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulation. The project also involves quality control, the use of analytical tools for quality control and development, clinical study protocol design and execution for safety and efficacy testing of cosmetic and medical devices. The study may include tests for skin irritation and sensory feeling, efficacy tests related to skin rejuvenation, skin whitening, hair regeneration, pain-killer, or other topical/transdermal applications. The candidate is preferred to have: 1) PhD degree in drug delivery, pharmacy, materials science, additive manufacturing, biomedical engineering, or related fields from internationally recognized universities, 2) Knowledge and skills on cosmetics, pharmaceutical, nutraceuticals, drug delivery, formulation design, microfabrication, microneedle, microbeads, nanomedicines, or microencapsulation. 3) Knowledge and skills on industrial practice in small and large-scale manufacturing of microneedle, microbeads, microencapsulation, and related fields. 4) Knowledge and experiences in product quality control, human safety test on skin irritation and skin sensory feeling, and human efficacy tests on skin rejuvenation, skin whitening, hair regeneration, pain killer, or other applications. 5) Knowledge and experiences in intellectual property analysis, patent specification drafting and filing. 6) Knowledge and experiences in Singapore startup ecosystem, fund-raising, business development. 7) Good publication record on high impact peer-reviewed journals with main contribution. 8) Knowledge and experiences in 3D printing and computer aided design.
