Scientist (Future Foods Development/Food Product Development and Packaging)
[What you will be working on]
Execute applied research projects in plant-based/alternative protein-based food ingredients with targeted organoleptic and nutritional properties.
Liaise with multiple stakeholders and manage research projects and ensure all project deliverables are met.
Design and execute experiments to develop novel food products with focus on nutrition and food sustainability.
Investigate different processing techniques and formulation approaches to optimize the sensory properties and nutritional profiles of future food products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, suppliers and academic institutions to explore and integrate emerging technologies into the research and development processes.
Research on various types of food packaging and suggest appropriate packaging
Assist in curate professional courses in alternative protein or functional foods for industry players
[What we are looking for]
Qualification in Food Science, Food Biotechnology, Food Processing, Food Engineering or any related field.
Strong background in food product development.
Experience in working with different packaging materials and shelf life extension projects
Experience in emerging technologies in future foods, such as 3D bioprinting and bioreactors, is advantageous.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Team-player who is also able to work independently
At least 2 years of work experience in a related field or relevant industry is preferred.
