We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing automation testing tools and frameworks to support our software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CICD integration and experience with Kubernetes, EKS, and Docker. Additionally, experience with Service Virtualization skills using Broadcom Service Virtualization (formerly CA SV or iTKO or DevTest) and Apache JMeter is highly desirable. The candidate should be able to write shell scripts and should be familiar with DevOps practices.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be working with a highly motivated testing chapter in Singtel to deliver testing tools and frameworks, utilising your skills, which can speed-up and govern testing activities across multiple squads. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be working in an AGILE environment and will have testing chapter deliverables. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also be suggesting appropriate tools that would best fit the solution, identifying automation opportunities and overall maintaining and improving the company\xe2\x80\x99s software quality.

You enjoy breaking things, have a natural curiosity and inquisitiveness.

You\'ll have a Test-First mindset, and play a role in the promotion of a Test-First mindset in the development teams. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have some programming (JAVA) experience. Not looking for a developer, but someone who is capable of developing testing tools & frameworks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop automation testing tools and frameworks using various programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Ruby)
• Design, develop and maintain automated test suites for web, desktop and mobile applications
• Integrate automated tests into the CICD pipeline for continuous testing and deployment
• Design, develop and maintain virtual services for different downstream or third-party applications as well as under-development applications
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to understand various systems in the hybrid architecture.
• Identify various applications to virtualize and govern the process of virtualization of test environments
• Helps the testing team to speed up the testing process by elimination problematic dependent systems
• Design, develop and innovate different tools to streamline performance testing across different teams
• Design, develop, and execute performance tests using Apache JMeter
• Integrate performance testing into the CICD pipeline
• Integrate performance testing on AWS Cloud resources \xe2\x80\x93 EKS preferred
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve performance issues
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure testing efforts are aligned with project goals and objectives

Education and Qualifications - Bachelor Degree

Work Experience- 5+ years

Technical / Professional Skills * 3+ years of experience in software testing and automation

• 2+ years of experience in performance testing
• 2+ years of experience in API Automation and testing
• Proficient in Java programming language
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, etc.
• Strong understanding of APIs
• Proficiency in CICD tools and methodologies
• Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams
