Job Description

XCL World Academy is seeking a dynamic, experienced and flexible Secondary Years MYP and DP Visual Arts Teacher. This is a full-time contract position starting from 1 August 2022. Preference will be given to teachers who have relevant subject-specific IB MYP and DP experience, as well as a clear track record of superior teaching in international school settings.

Main Responsibilities

• Teachers should be willing to contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the department and broader SY Team.
• Demonstrates to professional ethics, international mindedness and the school’s mission
• Adheres cooperatively to XCL policies and regulations, including duties, deadlines, programme requirements (IB).
• Seeks clarification in case of lack of clarity in order to fully meet all expectations of the role and sets and maintains consistently high standards.
• Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment documentation
• Show exemplary attendance to work eg.recognize the importance and support for the XCL extended school day activities

Person Specifications

• Undergraduate degree from a recognized university or college
• Teacher professional certification specific to applied position
• Teaching experience and professional certification specific to applied position
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a class teacher, preferably in an international K-12 school
• Preferred minimum 2 years of relevant IB programme experience
• Due to the current pandemic situation and the travel restrictions in place qualified candidates residing in Singapore will have an added advantage.
• Individual's vaccination reports will be requested from candidates to meet the travel requirements.
