What the role is:Assist the Senior Section Manager in managing a range of financial activities and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and timely finance services to Client Agencies in Public Service. Your role is essential in ensuring compliance with public service financial guidelines and operational procedures, while also maintaining the service standards outlined in the Service Partnership Understanding (SPU). You may also be required to undertake projects to transform and streamline existing processes to bring about higher operational efficiency and greater synergies.What you will be working on:Key Responsibilities: Guiding a team of finance officers in the various finance activities, including in the interpretation of IMs, SOPs, guidelines, laws and regulations, and reference to past cases. Assist Senior Section Manager to oversee the month-end and year-end closing activities, including the timely recording of journal entries, accruals, timely preparation of bank reconciliations, and the preparation and review of month-end and year-end schedules and statements Execute finance operations (ie Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger and Banking of Government Agencies), ensuring services are delivered on time and in line with agreed KPIs. Ensure compliance with relevant public service financial guidelines and operational procedures. Drive process reviews and improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness across Whole-of-Government (WOG) services. Engage Service Partners and other relevant stakeholders to maintain and enhance relationships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.What we are looking for:
