Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

Secure Web Gateway (SWG) Engineer

to support a large-scale deployment and migration project involving

Skyhigh Virtual SWG Appliances

. The role covers the full lifecycle from planning and implementation to integration, testing, and documentation. You will work closely with internal teams and the client to ensure a successful delivery in alignment with project goals and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Implementation Setup:

Participate in project kick-off to define charter, scope, timelines, and risks. Gather and validate infrastructure requirements (IP addresses, ports, access credentials). Support planning and deliver weekly project status reports. Prepare and present technical architecture and implementation plans.

SWG Deployment and Migration Tasks:

Deploy and configure Skyhigh SWG Virtual Appliances in customer environments. Perform system parameter setup including management IP, DNS, and hostnames. Import licenses and update databases (AV, URL filtering, scanning engines). Apply hotfixes, patches, and register appliances. Integrate with supporting infrastructure (e.g., AD, authentication, logging services). Migrate PAC files and synchronize policies and configurations. Integrate with existing proxy management and CSR logging servers. Validate system connectivity, log flow, and access redirection. Monitor web traffic, system utilization, and perform health checks.

Testing and Verification:

Create and execute User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases. Lead UAT sessions with pilot users and validate expected behavior. Apply security hardening configurations to align with best practices. Support up to three rounds of post-vulnerability remediation assessments, if required.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:

Update and deliver project documentation including:

Architecture & Design Documents


Migration Plans & Hardening Guides


Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)


Build Guides, UAT Results, Access Matrix


Risk Register and Asset Inventory
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with customer teams.

Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Information Security, Network Engineering, or related field. Strong hands-on experience with

Skyhigh SWG

or similar Secure Web Gateway platforms. Solid understanding of

networking

,

proxy infrastructure

, and

web access security

. Familiar with

PAC file management

,

SIEM/logging integration

, and

policy enforcement

. Ability to manage UAT, documentation, and client communication effectively.

Preferred Certifications:

Skyhigh Certified Engineer (if applicable) CISSP / CEH / CCNP Security / CompTIA Security+ * ITIL Foundation or equivalent (advantageous)
