SECURITIES TRANSFER SPECIALIST (12-MONTH CONTRACT)GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for processing security transfer instructions of various products such as equities, fixed income, funds, structured products, derivatives and physical precious metals from clients covering Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres
Opening of custody accounts with various custodian banks and maintenance of static data in the core banking system
Ensure daily activities are conducted professionally and accurately while ensuring that internal guidelines and policies are followed
KEY FEATURES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESClient Management (internal & external)
Coordinates with internal departments and external sub custodians, custodians, agents & counterparties to ensure that daily work meets organizational standards
Monitor the queries received and provide responses or holding replies within a reasonable timeframe.
Business Management
Input of transfer instructions received from clients into the core banking system. Ensure it meets all the pre-trade validation checks
Submits request for security master creation if the instrument is not available in the system.
Maintenance of counterparty SSI in the core banking system
Ensures that the instructions sent to the custodians are in good order, Swift exceptions queues are cleared daily
Ensures timely payment of Stamp Duty / Tax and Fees, if applicable for any transfers
Participate in User-Acceptance-Testing when required

Professional and Technical
Diploma/Degree and minimum of 2+ years of relevant experiencing banking or related discipline.
Good knowledge and understanding of the various securities products (i.e. equities, fixed income instruments, funds, structured products, derivatives etc.)
Candidate with relevant experience in Security Transfer and SWIFT (MT5xx) knowledge will be an advantage
Proficiency in MS Office software
