- Implement and provide input on the design and improvement of required security measures to (but not limited to) firewalls, application servers, user endpoints, and message / data encryption standards.
- Uses approved tools and techniques to scan OANDA infrastructure and applications to detect security vulnerabilities. Uses various reporting methods to articulate the severity and business impact of such vulnerabilities, and works with system custodians / application owners to remediate identified vulnerabilities. Works with third-party organizations to validate identified vulnerabilities and works with internal teams to ensure timely remediation.
- Authors and/or contribute to Incident Response Playbooks to ensure that OANDA is prepared to respond to security incidents in a consistent and professional manner. Assists with the preparation of Incident Reports / Compliance reports, as needed. Creates and manages security alerts for the timely identification of security incidents and responds to such incidents, in line with established Playbooks. Invokes the Security Incident Response Plan, when required, and keeps Stakeholders informed throughout the incident lifecycle. Drives out Breach Readiness activities.
- General Education: University (First degree), or equivalent education in computer science, computer engineering, or similar studies
- General Experience: Previous experience of 2-4 years specifically in the information security industry
- Working knowledge of industry security standards such as SOC2, ISO27001/ISO27002, NIST, etc.
- Demonstrated experience working with security technologies
- Thirst for knowledge, hunger to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Experience with compliance and regulations in the financial industry
- Certifications such as CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker, CompTIA Network+, CWAPT Certified Penetration Tester, Certified Reverse Engineering Analyst
