Job Description

Twitter is seeking a Security Specialist based in Singapore for its Regional Operations Centre (ROC) JAPAC, the 24/7 central hub for the Corporate Security (CorpSec) team activity in the region. The ROC's day-to-day operational requirements include physical security, regional travel safety, and geopolitical alert monitoring and response. The team consists of Security Specialists whose responsibilities are shaped along a two-tier scale. A Security Specialist is responsible for physical security deliverables and response, and also provides support to the ROC's travel safety and geopolitical alert monitoring program. The position is ideal for someone with an entry to mid-level SOC experience who is eager to learn other, more hybrid aspects of the ROC's work. The role requires regular interactions with other members of the CorpSec team in the region, as well as Tweeps. The Security Specialist must be a good multitasker, willing to support the work of other team members, and have a decent understanding of the basic principles of corporate security work.Key Responsibilities include: Lead the ROC's responsibilities around physical security which primarily constitute providing prompt response to alarms via CCTV review and/or coordination with onsite security officers, monitoring of video surveillance and access control systems, managing all badging and access requests via the JIRA ticketing system, and highlight access control issues to security team through the ticket system. Support the development of physical security metrics and work with other team members in the drafting of the monthly security reports. Provide ad hoc incident response to include loss of IT assets, law enforcement visits, Dawn Raid, medical emergencies at the offices, and other types of incidents that require CorpSec's support. Provide necessary support to the security officers in the Singapore office, namely in responding to onsite incidents and other ad hoc issues. Support the region's travel safety program by arranging secure transport for travelers where required, update the daily travel reports and maintain visibility over other internal travel processes. Escalate travel support issues to management when necessary and act as the single point of contact for travel and security related issues in JAPAC. Develop a decent understanding of the ROC's Geopolitical Alert Response SOP to provide the necessary response and support. Proactive monitoring of alerts from subscribed vendors and tools and triage relevant regional geopolitical alerts from multiple sources. Perform immediate impact and threat assessments of alerts and respond accordingly based on the relevant SOP.Qualifications/Requirements: At least 1-2 years of SOC experience with familiarity in access control and video surveillance systems. Knowledge of physical security best practices preferred but not required. Ability to work 12-hour rotating shift to include nights, weekends and holidays. Demonstrates decent communication skills. Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment and produce deliverables in a timely manner.
