The incumbent of Security by Design Manager shall be able to lead in security design team and work well with the multi-discipline project team, and the Client representatives and others under the scope of Security by Design for suitability, adequacy, integrity, durability, and practicality of important facilities.
The candidate must possess minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, knowledge, and security design capabilities in develop effective security solutions to meet the security objectives set out for the facility, to assure the adequate protection and sustenance of critical assets and functions, against a list of threats to be provided by operator, and able to manage and guide the project members towards to different stages of design and perform design checks and analysis to blast engineering standards such as UFC 3-340-01, UFC 3-340-02, UFC 4-023-03, ASCE 59-11 and in accordance with relevant to building codes and regulations.
In the process of developing the security solutions against blast, he or she shall work closely with the project team and other relevant persons to integrate security planning and solutions in the Facility\xe2\x80\x99s overall design through various project stages: Preliminary Facility Design Development (PFDD), Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (TVRA) and Blast Effects Analysis (BEA), Structural Resiliency Study (SRS), Security Protection Plan and endorse on the drawings and reports for submission to client/Authority for acceptance.
The candidate shall assist the project team or Client to prepare tender documents including details required for the security measures for tender for construction of the facility, evaluation, and recommendation to the Client. During the construction stage, he or she shall ensure all security measures are implemented according to the technical specifications and standards, be involved in the development of security operational procedure or deployment of security personnel if required.
Responsibilities:

• As Security by Design Manager and report to Project Manager
• To develop effective security solutions to meet security objectives set out for the Facility
• To integrate security planning and solutions in the Facility\xe2\x80\x99s overall design
• To lead in various stages in Security by Design and to prepare necessary security plans and reports
• To provide guidance to the project team in terms of security planning and protections, smart security features

Requirements

• Degree/ Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering, or its equivalent
• Preferably an approved Competent Person
• Possesses good interpersonal skills for coordination and collaborative processes on multi-disciplinary basis
• Train a team to support the design and analysis for Security by Design in areas of Blast resistance
• Ability to source and secure projects for Security by Design
