Oversee and manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate recording of all incurred costs, reviewing journal entries, reconciling account balances, and preparing reports.
Contribute to the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies, operational strategies, and the implementation of process and system changes.
Continuously strive to improve system efficiency and business practices.
Participate in strategic financial projects, such as upgrading or implementing phase-two ERP software.
Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment.
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
Interact with individuals at all levels and stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing and internal management and financial reporting up to the annual report.
Hold responsibility for maintaining the chart of accounts\' hierarchy and scalability, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements, and making final decisions on the classification and booking of all transactions.
Analyze the impact of statutory accounting practices and stay updated on regulations and guidance to ensure proper application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Provide recommendations for necessary changes and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, establishing fraud prevention techniques.
Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses, assisting in compiling information for tax return preparation.
Coordinate with Audit, Tax, and Treasury Manager to ensure smooth overall financial accounting activities through the annual report.
Summarize and provide feedback on financial statement variances to the budget.
Actively review and advise on financial and accounting processes.
Provide support for geographic regions within the Asian Pacific countries, including India.
The Successful Applicant
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA.
8 years of experience in fund administration, accounting, or audit, with a specific focus of 10 years in the Water industrial / similar sectors.
Strong Supervisory Experience: Proven track record of supervisory skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and leading staff.
Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability in managing client relationships effectively, delivering high-quality service, and handling challenging relationships.
Project Management: Possess project management skills and a proven ability to drive and implement changes successfully.
Ability to Work Under Pressure: Capable of working under pressure in a highly demanding environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desirable Skill: Highly desirable proficiency in Investran.
