Senior Accountant

Permanent role Work location: Bishan

The Opportunity

Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations for one or more legal entities. This role combines hands-on ownership of the close process with business partnering responsibilities to drive operational excellence and support strategic decision-making.

Financial Close & Entity Management

Independently manage and execute month-end and year-end closing for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, deferrals, and balance sheet schedules. Own the general ledger and ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements. Partner with business and operational teams to understand key drivers of financial performance and provide insights into variances and trends. Continuously improve close and reporting processes through automation and system enhancements. Analyze revenue and expense accounts, providing variance analysis and insightful explanations.

Compliance, Reporting & Audit

Ensure full compliance with IFRS or local accounting standards and maintain high-quality documentation and internal controls. Prepare and review management and statutory financial statements. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits, ensuring efficient completion of audit deliverables. Support preparation of corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and other statutory filings, coordinating with external service providers where necessary.

Business Partnership & Process Improvement

Act as a finance partner to business units, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking. Evaluate, design, and implement process improvements leveraging technology tools such as

NetSuite

automation platforms

. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, HR, and Strategy team to support new initiatives and entity structuring.

Your Background

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business. Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred. Minimum

3 years of accounting experience

, including experience with entity-level ownership or financial close. Prior experience in

audit

or with

Big 4/public accounting firms

is advantageous. Experience with

NetSuite

or other ERP systems is a plus. Exposure to

fintech

multi-entity international operations

is a plus. Good technical accounting knowledge, with the ability to translate accounting impacts into business insights. Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills. Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
