About the role:
Senior Accountant primarily responsible for billing, accounts payable, cash and intercompany accounting, accounts receivable, VAT and SAFE return filings for the FIS China legal entities. Also, support the annual statutory audits for the FIS China legal entities
About the team: This is an individual performer role that will report into a senior Finance Leader in Singapore and will work closely with finance/accounting and business leaders across the APAC region as well as accounting and auditing firms in China
What you will be doing:

• Generate invoices to send to FIS clients of FIS China legal entities in compliance with FIS standards and China regulatory requirements.
• Process accounts payable for vendors that provide goods and services to FIS China legal entities in accordance with FIS standards and China Regulatory Requirements.
• Support Tax team with preparation of mainland China and Hong Kong direct and indirect tax returns as required.
• Work with China based accounting firms to prepare and file required China regulatory forms such as SAFE and other forms as necessary to ensure FIS China entities follow China laws and regulations.
• Support Accounts Receivable management and collections efforts across FIS China legal entities.
• Prepare and record intercompany accounting entries for FIS China legal entities, including generating invoices if required.
• Support the Treasury team on intercompany reconciliation, settlements and co-ordination with local China authorities and Banks to transfer cash to/from FIS Chinese legal entities to other FIS entities.
• Coordinate with third-party provider for translation of agreements as required.
• Support FIS China legal entities for Chinese government business surveys.
• Support statutory audits for FIS China legal entities, including working closely with China based accounting and auditing firms.
• Support accounting and finance functions for FIS Hong Kong entity, including statutory audits.
• Ensure compliance with FIS accounting and operational policies, procedures and practices.

What you will need:

• Minimum of 4 years of operational accounting and finance experience in the accounting department of a multi-national company with a focus on operational aspects of accounting such as billing, accounts payable, collections and intercompany accounting.
• Knowledge of Chinese finance and accounting rules and regulations is ideal
• Knowledge of Oracle financial systems and Hyperion/Essbase reporting tools
• Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin language skills required (written & spoken) to correspond with clients and relevant stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
