As a member of the Sciences team, your will help our client farms to monitor farm performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring a sustained, optimal farm performance. You will work together with farm managers, engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to mitigate issues and improve farm performance. You will contribute to the consistent crop production in our client farms and food security in the community.



What we Expect from you?

  • Design framework to monitor farm performance based on client requirements. Outline SOPs when production outcomes are not achieved
  • Collect and analyse data from various sources e.g. production data, growing conditions, pest management, supply chain, workflow etc. to identify potential causes for production issues and propose solutions while considering practical limitations
  • Design and conduct field trials to validate the efficacy of proposed solutions
  • Communicate with stakeholders to manage timelines and expectations



Requirements
  • At least 2 years of work experience involving significant amount of framework development, troubleshooting and/or stakeholder management
  • Diploma/Degree/Masters in agriculture-related field or any discipline in sciences, engineering, operations etc. Prior experience in agronomy is not required but must be motivated to learn on the job. Mid-career switchers with relevant transferable skills are welcome to apply
  • Strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues, propose and trial solutions
  • Competent in data management, data analysis and statistics

Senior Crop Scientist (Microbiology)

As a member of the Sciences team, you will develop new research capabilities in life/biological science, and conduct R&D in crop science to improve yield productivity, increase crop quality, and validate new technology. You will work together with business development, farm operations, and engineering teams to further the field of high-technology farming. Your research findings will be applied to our partner farms, contributing to productivity gain and quality improvement.



What we Expect from you?
  • Develop in-house research capabilities in life/biological science (with immediate focus on microbiology), e.g. setting up of new laboratory infrastructure, microorganisms culturing, development of microbial techniques and methodology
  • Explore new ideas through literature review and learning from other knowledge sources to improve crop yield productivity and increase crop quality
  • Design and conduct experiments, collect and analyse data to determine the effects of genetics and environment on crop yield and quality
  • Conduct technical due diligence and validate emerging technology
  • Mentor and guide crop scientists in their R&D work



Requirements

Software Engineer

This is an opportunity to be part of a unique software development team. We have a solid technology roadmap and a team of exceptional individuals. You will be given the opportunity to experiment while applying knowledge and skills taught in school in our lab and farms, while working directly with the managers, founders and collaborators.



What we Expect from you?
  • Assist in the development of websites/mobile applications
  • Designing page wireframes/layouts and custom graphics, formatting content, quality assurance testing, translating wireframes to web-apps to be used by our own staff
  • Improving current IoT infrastructure for our indoor farm
  • Working with external collaborators to integrate modules into our web-apps
  • Developing APIs for IoT components to interact with



Requirements
  • Diploma in relevant computing programmes

Supply Chain Manager (Agriculture)

In conjunction with Archisen\xe2\x80\x99s expansion plan, we are setting up a new business unit to sell high quality agriculture supplies. The manager will be working closely with the operations, business development, and technical teams to develop the new business unit.



What we Expect from you?
  • Develop the company\xe2\x80\x99s new agriculture supplies business in collaboration with operations, business development, and technical teams. Business activities include procurement, supply chain management, break bulking, processing, order fulfilment, inventory management, distribution, and quality control
  • Set up and maintain production facilities
  • Hire, train, and manage operators
  • Collaborate with other departments to create new product offerings, validate new suppliers/methodology, and improve SOPs
  • Assess continuously business activities and find ways to improve efficiency and productivity



Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree/Masters in operation related fields or other relevant technical fields.

Urban Farmer Operator

As an urban farmer, you will be involved in planting, production, and housekeeping tasks in a clean and air-conditioned environment. You will be working closely in teams with other urban farmers, technicians, farm leaders and the farm manager to ensure smooth operations of the farm.



What we Expect from you?
  • Perform planting tasks (seeding, movement, transplanting and harvesting) together with other farm operators
  • Process and pack finished salad products
  • Groom and maintain crops in a designated space
  • Check production parameters prior to the start of each process
  • Maintain checklists and records pertaining to production, plant health and irrigation systems
  • Clean and reinstate workstations, sanitise equipment and dispose waste as required
  • Apply food production standards relating to quality, food safety and hygiene

Agronomist Intern

As a member of the Sciences team, your main role will be to provide consultancy services to client farms, helping them to overcome production issues. You will evaluate different aspects of farm production to troubleshoot the production issues, propose and implement solutions while taking into account client farms\xe2\x80\x99 limitations.



What we Expect from you?
  • Provide consultancy services to client farms on crop production issues and troubleshoot them by considering various aspects of crop production e.g. lighting, climate, nutrient, pest management, supply chain management, workflow etc.
  • Conduct in-depth data collection and analysis to identify potential causes for production issues and propose solutions after consideration of practical limitations

As a member of the Sciences team, you will play a critical role in the R&D to expand crop variety and improve yield and quality of our crops. Your tasks will be to conduct literature review, design and implement experiments, collect and analyse data to constantly challenge assumptions and push the limits of current performance. It is important that you work well with a team and are comfortable working closely with farm engineers, farm managers and business development executives.

  • Research, develop, and implement measures to improve crop quality, yield and pest management through literature review of relevant sources

In addition to conducting crop science experiments, you will be part of exciting projects such as shelf-life evaluation, food packaging analysis, sensory evaluation, waste valorisation, and new product development.
