In addition, the team provides real estate strategic advisory services to corporate and institutional clients throughout Asia Pacific including but not limited to individual property sales, portfolio sales, fund raising and buy-side advisory. Reporting to the CEO of Capital Markets - APAC, we are currently looking for a Senior Analyst to join the team and help grow the business. The successful candidate will be part of the APAC Capital Markets team and work closely with senior members in the team to cover global and regional clients seeking to invest in the APAC region through structured transactions and capital partnerships, with a primary focus on the Japan real estate market. As a member of the APAC Capital Markets team, the individual will be focused on supporting the senior members in the team with the origination and execution of structured transactions/advisory activities in the real estate sector within the primary areas of: Day to day client coverage for large global institutional investors Private capital equity raising and advisory (joint ventures, co-investment vehicles etc.) Debt/Equity Advisory and structured finance solutions Buy side advisory & due diligence services for global direct and indirect capital seeking exposure in APAC, with a particular focus on the Japan real estate market The role will be based in Singapore, which is JLL's APAC headquarters, for the first 12 to 18 months to facilitate facetime with JLL's regional leadership team. As the role has a focus on the Japan real estate market, the successful candidate will be relocated to the Tokyo office after 12 to 18 months in Singapore and he/she will be based in the Tokyo office on a permanent basis thereafter. The analyst is expected to take the opportunity whilst working with the APAC Capital Markets team based in Singapore to learn best practices and share them with the Capital Markets team in Japan. Key Roles and Responsibilities You will need to be a strong team player and work with senior members of the wider APAC capital markets business to help with deepening / growing the investor coverage capability across the region, with a focus on international investors seeking to increase/gain exposure to the Japanese real estate market. You will also support the Director and Senior Directors in the team to work with the broader Capital Markets team to identify opportunities and execute real estate capital markets transactions across both public and private markets, with a focus on real estate transactions in Japan. Day to day responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Assisting with investor coverage by supporting and helping to drive forward the CRM programme for global and regional investors Preparation of proposals, marketing materials / information package and support timely and accurate deliverables Assist with market updates and presentations to global investors Putting together pitch / marketing documents and any other duties that management may reasonably require Work in collaboration with internal and external research to develop a sound understanding of the real estate equity capital markets in APAC and be able to interpret and analyse market trends and fundamentals Run cash flow or feasibility studies for real estate investment deals Develop an understanding of key services in JLL Capital Markets such as investment sales and advisory, equity advisory and debt advisory etc. Maintain a positive profile in the real estate community, proactively engage in business development activities through networking, industry seminars and leveraging the existing relationships of other business units. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Real Estate preferred Strong analytical and financial modelling skills combined with excellent attention to detail Prior working experience in the Japan real estate market preferred Excellent verbal and written skills in English is essential and fluency in Japanese is preferred International background and ability to communicate with international investors mandatory Ability to work with people across all levels and from diverse cultural backgrounds What we can do for you At JLL, we make sure that you become the best version of yourself by helping you realise your full potential in an entrepreneurial and inclusive work environment.
