Job Description

• Select Alternative Investments is a Direct Investments Platform focused on Private Equity, Real Estate, and Venture Capital. We target private investment opportunities alongside our investors and provide access to our proprietary deal sourcing
• All investments are structured in-house by our team of investment professionals located in Singapore, Zurich, Vienna, and Ho Chi Minh City
• Since our inception over a decade ago, we have deployed in excess of USD 1 billion of commitments across approximately 100 investments
• In order to support our rapidly growing business, we are seeking a self-driven, highly motivated colleague to work directly within our global investment team

Tasks

• Full responsibility for private direct investments throughout the transaction lifecycle from origination to exit
• Develop investment theses through comparative analysis of global markets across real estate, private equity, and venture capital asset classes
• Screening, initial evaluation, and in-depth due diligence of new investment opportunities
• Analysing financial statements, financial modelling (real estate cash flow & corporate 3-statement modelling), and asset valuation
• Prepare investment committee memoranda and investor presentations
• Hands-on investment management and monitoring of past deployments
• Ongoing investment reporting and operational process support (controlling, automation etc.)
• Tax and legal structuring of entities in various jurisdictions in Asia, Europe and North America
• Interfacing with external transaction counterparties, investors, and service providers (lawyers, advisors, administrators)

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree from a leading university in finance, business, or economics
• Between 1 \xe2\x80\x93 3 years relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance advisory, consulting, asset management, or real estate
• Extremely attentive to detail, intellectually curious, proactive, and goal-oriented, with a demonstrated enthusiasm for a career in private direct investment
• Strong financial modelling, quantitative and analytical skills & excellent knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
• Complete fluency in English & excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a partially virtual environment in a team spread across the globe
• Strong sense of self-motivation and ownership, ability to work independently and with low supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Pre-existing eligibility to work in Singapore
