Job Description

Climate change is a global existential threat, and Singapore is doing its part to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions for a more sustainable future. The power sector contributes about 40% of Singapore\'s greenhouse gas emissions. Singapore is looking to catalyse and co-develop regional renewable energy projects, and at the same time import some of this renewable energy through regional power grids.

You will join a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team tasked to ensure that the regional renewable energy projects and electricity imports are implemented on time, through policy and regulatory measures, and partnership with stakeholders. Specifically, you will join the Planning branch in the Energy Connections Office, where your key responsibilities include:
a. Developing policies to ensure that Singapore\'s power supply remains secure, reliable and affordable while successfully incorporating electricity imports
b. Managing regional renewable energy and electricity imports projects
c. Managing cross-agency policy and operational trade-offs for Singapore to bring in large-scale electricity imports

Requirements:
We are looking for people with strong analytical and synthesis skills, having the ability to dissect issues and develop coherent solutions. You must be excited about learning new things, comfortable with navigating ambiguity, challenging the status quo, and willing to speak up and put forward new solutions. You must have a good grasp of quantitative and qualitative skills, be able to manage complex projects, and be prepared to deep-dive into the technology, supply chains and economics of these projects. You should also be a team player, and be prepared to travel overseas for work. Those with prior experience in project management, electricity trading, and industry engagement will have an advantage.
