Executive Recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting for an online payment company that provides merchants with a comprehensive and innovative range of services and solutions that eliminate payment complexities and make purchasing quick, seamless, and secure for consumers. Our respected client is seeking a Mobile Application Developer with Kotlin, Java and C++ expertise for the job of Senior Android Developer. The job is in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines and offers hybrid work arrangement. (2 days on-site Tuesday and Wednesday and 3 days WFH)

Job Summary:

The Senior Android developer oversees software elaboration in small group (2-3 devs in-house / offshore) following best practices and ensuring internal quality (code reviews). He works with Mainline Manager to plan feature integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage team workload, ensuring tasks are scheduled and completed
• Coordinate with Mainline Manager to plan feature branches and integration
• Guide developers on technical questions (software engineering best practices, code reviews)
• Coordinate with Project Lead for scope and workload analysis
• Coordinate with QA teams for unit test coverage and interim software releases
• Supporting internal/external customers with merchant integration based on the application release
• Support Project Manager with Technical documentation such as workflows, sequence diagram, UML
• Perform required certifications L3 on Point-Of-Sale (POS) terminals
• Creates detailed documentation of the solution, design, and test cases
• Writes and modifies financial applications written in C/C++
• Performs extensive testing of the software during development and integration with recorded results
• Is involved at all stages of project lifecycle
• Develop tools to assist in the development and testing of software with the aim of making it reproducible, automated and efficient.
• Provides support and troubleshoots problems occurring in production and QA

Key Performance Objectives/Indicators:

• Consistent delivery according to commitments
• Workload estimates can be relied on for project planning
• Based on H1/H2 review with R&D Leader

Skills/Competency Specification:

Competency/Skill Requirements:

• Experience in Software Development Languages such as C++ , Android and Kotlin
• Development management tools (Git / Jira / Jenkins, etc.)
• Knowledge in Application Programming Interface (API)
• EMV Knowledge on global payment card schemes VISA, MASTERCARD, UPI, JCB, AMEX and local payment card schemes BANCNET
• Have experience on alternative payment knowledge (Alipay/Wechat/PH-QR/etc.)
• Good grasp of IT technologies, methodologies, architectures, and best practices.
• Experience on ECR protocol usage
• Experience in the payment industry a plus

Behaviour skills:

• Interest in technology and keeping up to date on tools and practices
• Good communication towards team, managers

Languages:

• Able to communicate in English

Education Qualifications / Experience Requirements:

• 3 to 5-yr experience
• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering
