Job Title: Senior Application Consultant (AVEVA Unified Engineering)

Location: Singapore / Kuala Lumpur

Reports to: Technical Manager

Department: Customer Success \xe2\x80\x93 Technical Support

Job Purpose

The Senior Application Consultant (is a key role in contributing to the growth of Engineering business portfolio within the region, providing the essential after-sales product support, training, consultancy, and implementation for AVEVA Unified Engineering Solution.

The job holder is accountable for delivery of professional support and services to customers, either internally or externally, and may be required to travel at short notice as a representative of the company wherever necessary to deliver support & services.

Proven experience and knowledge In the Oil and Gas /Marine/Power industries, Have either an owner-operator or EPC contractor background.

Experience in a support /consulting role in implementing more than one of the tools that make up AVEVA Unified Engineering. (AVEVA E3D, AVEVA P&ID, AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA E&I, AVEVA AIS)

Deep understanding of AVEVA Engineering or similar product with respect to delivering support, trainings and configuration activities

Experience in customer-facing skills and the ability to present product and solutions and deliver training/Support will be a bonus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate the needs/problems of prospective customers with little guidance and able to fix it.

Lead the customer implementation projects and able to work with customers with little guidance.

Willingness to travel within the region and, if needed on occasion, abroad to perform consultancy tasks

The ability to effectively manage and handle multiple and possibly competing commitments simultaneously.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Engineering Degree or have a comparable professional qualification or equivalent experience.

PML/ C# /.Net programming skills

Good level IT skills/Knowledge on (software installations/configuration, client/server, cloud, SaaS, SQL)

Ability to work to deadlines.

Principal Accountabilities

Provides first line product support as required to customers in the region, under minimal guidance.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AVEVA Unified Engineering Configuration and setup

Promptly addresses and resolves customer complaints or technical issues and escalate if necessary.

Create Knowledge Articles for the Support cases.

Educate the team on KCS articles and coach them in creation of Knowledge base.

Provides high quality, specialist product training in both AVEVA training centres and at customer locations.

Delivers excellent, professional and knowledgeable deployment and configuration services to AVEVA\xe2\x80\x99s customers.

Works with members of the technical team and technical managers to help develop scopes of work and proposals for consulting and customisation services.

Develops technical skills within the primary domain and into other AVEVA product areas to assist in the growth of the technical team in the region.

Provides industry specific consultancy, based upon related experiences to aid other members of the team to achieve successful product positioning.

Coaches & mentors\xe2\x80\x99 junior employees or new recruits

Provides pre-sales support and consultancy services as required by line management.

Assist Application Engineers with site-specific difficulties during new site commissioning as well as system upgrades and expansions.

Work closely with our global team force to manage customer relationship and satisfaction.

Research, identify, develop and recommend corrective measures to address technical and application issues identified in the field or in-house

Participate in power monitoring system development projects by contributing knowledge of customer applications, providing user information requirements, providing test scenarios and typical use-cases, and occasionally participating in product development and testing

Resolve technical problems from end customers, application engineers, and engineering teams

Identify and qualify product and solution failures and assist on the engineering in understanding and resolving them

Support Cases Management and work towards resolution and closure.

Research and documentation of technical problems and solutions using our Knowledge Base

Important Working Relationships

Sales: Work with the sales and technical sales teams in identifying opportunities, providing technical support at all levels of customer engagement and responding to product support issues.

Technical: Work within a dynamic team and show flexibility in the use and development of personal and technical skills to maximize the team\xe2\x80\x99s efficiency. In particular, develop a close and effective working relationship with the central support office.

Customers: Develop good working relationships with clients and always provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism.

R&D : Closely work with R&D to coordinate and provide required support and information in fixing the bugs/ product enhancements as raised by the customers

Knowledge Skills & Experience Required

The individual will have:

Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve customer problems with little direction or guidance.

At least 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in leading projects using AVEVA Design & Engineering solutions or experience in technical training and support.

Associate\xe2\x80\x99s or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline

Proven 5 years or more experience of AVEVA PDMS/E3D/Marine/Engineering/P&ID or similar technologies.

Proven 8 years or more knowledge of engineering, design, procurement or construction in a Design Office within a relevant industry (e.g. Oil & Gas, Shipbuilding, Power) from either an owner-operator or an engineering contractor background.

The ability to manage and handle multiple commitments simultaneously.

Willingness to travel extensively (potentially worldwide) to perform consultancy tasks.

Knowledge in programming. PML, .Net and/or C# is a must.
