Job Summary

This role leads the development, delivery, and support of enterprise IT applications and digital transformation projects in the chemical tanker sector. It combines technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and project management to drive business-aligned digital solutions across a complex, multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support:

Provide day-to-day support for core business applications; coordinate with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution.

Process Optimisation:

Analyse current workflows; recommend and implement enhancements to boost operational efficiency.

Requirements Gathering:

Work closely with business units to define digital needs and translate them into actionable project requirements.

Project Management:

Lead full project lifecycle (small to large-scale), ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Solution Delivery & Change Management:

Design, test, and implement application solutions; manage stakeholder expectations and adoption.

Stakeholder Management:

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders; prioritise support needs and digital initiatives.

Vendor Management:

Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and performance standards.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Leader role:

Minimum 5 years in a managerial capacity.

Specialist role:

Minimum 10 years in application support/project delivery within the

chemical tanker

industry. Hands-on experience in solution design and managing enterprise IT projects; PMP or Scrum Master certification is a plus. Familiarity with Veson IMOS Platform (VIP) or similar voyage management systems. Experience in workflow automation and/or AI/ML technologies is a plus. Strong grasp of business processes in the chemical tanker sector. * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
