Roles and Responsibilities

• Champion excellence in architectural design.
• Lead other local and international multi-disciplinary professionals to execute and deliver design-coordinated projects.
• Initiate, research and develop project briefs with clients.
• Taking architectural design schemes from concept, planning, through to completion, coordinate relevant information with consultants and contractors; and produce full sets of working drawings on commercial and public sector schemes.
• Lead and work closely with the design team to realise architectural designs at the highest level of design rigor and quality.
• Lead and prepare design reports and drawing packages for Concept Design, Schematic Design, Detail Design, and Tender Documentation.
• Research and develop solutions to architectural problems using sketches, working models, and presentation models.
• During Construction Stage, manage projects and administer main building contracts.
• Incorporate statutory requirements and technical knowledge into architectural designs to facilitate the production of tender drawings and the submission of drawings to local planning authorities and building control agencies.
• Lead and coordinate with consultants and contractors to execute and deliver building projects on time, on budget, and at the highest quality of professional service.
• Lead and prepare project presentation materials for internal and external marketing and business development purposes.
• Initiate, research, develop and apply professional knowledge relating to design processes, construction technology, building materials and systems.
• Lead and prepare project specifications.
• Lead and prepare contract documentation for architecture/ building projects.
• Attend, lead and administer project site meetings.
• Lead and be part of the problem-solving process for design and technical issues for BIM Revit and other 3D visualisation and simulation software.
• Oversee project resourcing, project management, invoicing and project fees whilst maintain and achieving deadlines on time and on budget.
• Contribute to the business development and work-winning of the studio
• Plan and implement workflow processes to achieve optimised and efficient workflow within the studio.

Requirements

• Have good leadership and management skills.
• Ambitious, self-motivated, and have a passion and enthusiasm for architecture, urban planning, and design, accompanied with a willingness to learn, inspire others, and innovate.
• Have a positive working attitude, proactive, conscientious, and attention to detail.
• Have a recognised professional degree in Architecture.
• Having additional complimentary qualifications, such as in, Urban Planning/ Design, Interior Design, Lightning Design, Landscape Design, Project Management, and Construction Management, is a plus.
• Have registration with the Board of Architects Singapore, or equivalent overseas registration.
• Having additional accreditations, such as, Green Mark Professional, Universal Design Assessor, Integrated Digital Delivery, LEED professional, WELL professional, and ABC Waters professional is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Singapore and/or overseas, preferably on large-scale mixed-use projects.
• Having design and project experience in mission critical buildings, such as, data centres, high-technology logistics and manufacturing facilities, and airports, is a plus.
• Good organisational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills.
• Competency in spoken and written English, fluency in other Southeast Asia languages, such as Vietnamese and Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
• Have proficient 2D drafting skills in AutoCAD/ MicroStation
• Be proficient in BIM - able to lead and coordinate any work related to it.
• Have excellent 3D modelling and rendering skills in Sketch-up, Revit, Rhino, 3D Max, V-ray, Lumion, Grasshopper, is a plus.
• Have proficient presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite software - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Powerpoint.
