The Judiciary - comprising the Supreme Court, State Courts and Family Justice Courts - is one of the three constitutional pillars of government in Singapore. We welcome you to join our team as: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR / SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, RESEARCH STRATEGIC PLANNING AND RESEARCH DIVISION FAMILY JUSTICE COURTS
What you will be working on:
We are looking for a committed and highly motivated individual to be part of the Strategic Planning and Research Division in the Family Justice Courts. The successful candidate will assist in the areas of family justice research and policy planning, especially in relation to vulnerable adults in Singapore. This involves: Conducting horizon scanning for legal trends and comparative research on family justice law reforms; Coordinating and participating in strategic research collaborations within and across other agencies, organisations and key partners; Providing relevant research findings to facilitate senior management decision-making; Finding creative solutions to solve existing gaps in processes etc; and Supporting the division in agency-wide initiatives.
What we are looking for:

• Degree in law, political or related social sciences would be an advantage Relevant experience in research would be an advantage Ability to turn ideas into solutions through coding and AI techniques would be an advantage Sharp analytical skills as well as a bent for strategic and innovative thinking Excellent writing skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and persuasively Ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure Good interpersonal skills, and work well both independently and in teams Note: The successful candidate will be appointed on a one-year probationary contract in the first instance.
