We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Associate, Actuarial Services. Principal Responsibilities

  • The jobholder is responsible for providing assistance to the valuation, stress testing and other reporting requirements in the Actuarial Services Department to support business needs
  • The jobholder supports the computing of reserves and capital requirements for solvency monitoring, solvency projections and business planning purposes
  • Perform valuation projects assigned which may involve solvency, balance sheet and profit & loss management, bonus investigation, stress testing, etc.
  • Support new product assessment, including but not limited to reserving/solvency bases review, valuation modelling requirements etc.
  • Support assumption review
  • Responsible for maintaining local Model Governance standards as per HSBC guidelines
  • Work closely with the group office and external Actuarial consultants, ensuring adherence to the HSBC guidelines and statutory regulations

Requirements
Requirements
  • University graduate in a relevant discipline in Actuarial Studies, with good progress in actuarial exams of an international recognized actuarial body
  • 2 years or above of Actuarial experience, candidate with less experience will be considered for Associate position
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Hands-on experience in Prophet is a plus
