Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of routine and some non-routine finance and accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts
  • receivable or related financial area.
  • Compile statistical, financial, accounting reports and tables pertaining to cash receipts, expenditures, account payable and receivable, and profits or losses for use in monthly costings, management reports, annual reports, etc.
  • Perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties pertaining to financial statistics, surveys, research information, statutory returns, and benchmarking.
  • Prepare information for the smooth completion of audits.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of best financial practices, policies, procedures, processes, and systems.
  • Assist in financial forecasting and budgeting to achieve business financial targets and objectives and support budgetary control activities and reporting.
  • Perform project accounting and reporting using cost-to-cost methodology.
  • Handles treasury management activities, reporting and controls.
  • Support investment management activities, reporting and controls.
  • Support the evaluation, monitoring and control of financial risk management of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct due diligence, financial evaluation and assessment on potential partners and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and various business units.
  • Keep abreast of key changes in accounting/ taxation regulations and provide support in rolling out group initiatives.
  • Participate in other ad-hoc and special projects and be ready to perform cover duties for colleagues in other departments/sections of the Financial Partnership & Management Division.
Requirements:
  • CPA/CA, Degree in Accountancy/Finance from a university acceptable by the Company.
  • Holders of Diploma in Accountancy/Finance with strong track record and relevant experience may apply.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification working experience.
  • Good knowledge of internal controls and compliance.
  • Good understanding of accounting standards, statutory and corporate tax regulations.
  • Familiar and conversant with construction contracts, FRS11, IFRS15 and FRS115 accounting.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills, who is keen to learn and pick up new challenges.
  • Meticulous, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, who is hands-on and comfortable to manage multiple tasks, resourceful and able to work collaboratively with different stakeholders, and can work independently to deliver outcomes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and good business acumen.
  • Meticulous, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have practical working experience with accounting software systems. Prior experience in implementing finance and accounting systems is preferred.
