As

Senior Associate, (Technology & Data)

, you will play a critical role in optimising how technology transforms how AVPN engages with our social investment community, ranging from global scale events like AVPN Global Conference, to regional, local and exclusive small-group engagements. You will oversee and develop an AVPN interoperable tech stack, support seamless digital operations for market connections and event experiences and enable effective data capture and insights. This role requires strong technical aptitude, organisational skills, agile teamwork and a solutions-oriented mindset. It also offers opportunities to gain in-depth exposure to the social investment ecosystem, community management and global event management.

Responsibilities

Technology Setup & Operations

: Manage event tech platforms, including registration systems, event apps, and virtual/hybrid platforms; liaise with vendors to ensure smooth setup and configuration. This includes designing, supporting a seamless SOP and platform management for engagements across multiple markets, diverse event designs and engagement formats that strengthen membership experience, in line with the logistics stack and platform standards set the Engagements & Market Operations Leads.

Live Technical Support

: Provide real-time assistance to presenters, attendees, and organisers during AVPN signature events within the established logistics framework defined the Engagements & Market Operations Leads.

Troubleshooting

: Diagnose and resolve technical issues pre- and in-event and during regular market operations to minimise disruption, escalating platform-level or structural issues to the Engagements & Market Operations Leads.

Data & Insights

: Capture, manage, and analyse event data with Market Operations & Engagement teams to generate actionable insights on attendees and AVPN's membership base. This can include: + Manage and maintain dashboards and reporting databases for all events and markets to ensure timely, accurate insights.
+ Lead improvements in reporting standards and data hygiene practices across engagement and market teams.
Explore and pilot AI-driven tools for automated tagging, pattern recognition, and narrative generation to strengthen understanding of attendee behaviour and event performance.

User Experience

: Build and customise event tech components (e.g., registration forms, project management tools, community management, interaction interface, etc.) for seamless user journeys. This includes designing user-facing data inputs and feedback loops that improve reporting accuracy and enhance the clarity of AI-generated insights.

Collaboration

: Work closely with event planners, production teams, and technology vendors to ensure integration of tech solutions in coordination with the Engagements & Market Operations Leads on any platform-wide considerations.

System Integration

: Oversee interoperability of systems (e.g., Salesforce, Blackthorn, Airtable, Swapcard, Google Suite) to streamline processes for community engagement and internal market operations. This includes maintaining data flows that support dashboards and reporting systems, ensuring integrated and consistent data structures across platforms.

Operational Support

: Contribute to event planning/execution and market operations, and provide ad hoc support for team priorities across multiple markets. This includes providing operational support for data-related tasks during event cycles, including preparing dashboards, cleaning datasets, and validating insights for internal teams. All Senior Associates at AVPN form part of the Associate Pool which offers opportunities for getting involved with a range of projects across the organisation to support professional development and growth.

Requirements

Proficiency in event tech platforms, including registration systems (e.g., Blackthorn), project management tools (e.g., Airtable), event apps (e.g., Swapcard), hybrid/virtual platforms (Zoom, YouTube), community management and CRM tools (Salesforce, etc.) and Google Suite. Experience maintaining dashboards, reporting systems, and multi-platform data flows. Familiarity with data hygiene practices and reporting best practices. Interest or experience in exploring AI tools for data tagging, insight generation, or pattern recognition. Prior experience in event management and/or production and/ community engagement preferred Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proactive and self-motivated, agile thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong team player, able to collaborate across functions and geographies, while also working independently.
