About the Industry Manpower Development Division (IMD)
In the face of external challenges and internal constraints, Singapore needs to develop a globally competitive workforce to strengthen our standing in current and future growth industries on the global stage. Operating with this backdrop, IMD's work includes influencing national manpower polices, developing a conducive education and capability development ecosystem, creating tools and initiatives to support Singaporeans' career aspirations and seize good job opportunities, optimising access to global talent and build an industry-ready workforce. IMD collaborates with EDB's industry groups, Government agencies and companies to ensure policies take into consideration industry feedback and develop balanced manpower strategies that cut across socio-economic needs.
What you will be working on:

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:
Proactively partner and co-develop industry/firm-level solutions with EDB's industry groups to address talent and capability development interests and/or needs.
Work closely with government agencies, institutes of higher learning and tripartite partners on policies and initiatives to ensure the local workforce remain industry relevant and competitive. This involves analysis of industries' talent needs, career development pathways across sectors, course to sector attrition etc.
Manage and review global talent attraction products. This involves development and review of implementation guidelines, advisory on use of product, and review of product policy through engagement with key stakeholders.
Analyse workforce data, including on EDB's jobs creation efforts, to facilitate industry talent and capability development efforts.
What we are looking for:
To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:
A degree in any discipline
At least 1 year of relevant work experience; preferably exposure to consulting, public policy, capability development, corporate/regional HR experience or related areas
Proactive, independent, inquisitive, open-minded and resourceful
A strategic thinker with strong analytical ability
Good language and writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and manage internal and external stakeholders across seniority
Familiarity and interest in the areas of education, training and human capital development would be advantageous
