Our Asian Legal Business (ALB) is looking for a Senior Awards Manager to lead the awards segment and is responsible of the overall logistics and operations across the events function. This is a senior role and you must bring leadership, growth mindset, sharp business acumen and long term strategy for the group. This position can be based in Singapore or Hong Kong. About the Role As the Senior Awards Manager, your duties include:

  • Managing the events assigned to you successfully and profitability, showing growth in attendee, speakers and revenue over time.
  • Providing clear achievements and milestone reporting to manager on a regular basis.
  • Building and winning over, key judges and experts in allocated industries and territories
  • Shows growth in number of award submissions, total participating organisations, unique participating organisations, and total attendees at award ceremony
  • Building a high quality event through strong content, working closely with sales team to ensure commercial success of event
  • Event marketing \xe2\x80\x93 these are activities that promote the event to achieve commercial success and event attendance, including and not limited to, organising eDMs, building event microsite, liaising with sponsors, partnerships with associations, etc.
  • Briefing sponsorship and telesales teams to equip sales reps with necessary knowledgement to speak with customers fluently
  • Onsite logistics \xe2\x80\x93 responsible for onsite operations for all events assigned to you and delivering a strong customer experience.
  • Eventually, a Senior EM should be able to identify gaps in the market and developing events of various types in order to take advantage of these gaps
  • Liaising with additional teams across Thomson Reuters Asia and cooperating closely with regard to both marketing for the events and event delivery
About You You\xe2\x80\x99ll be a good fit as the Senior Awards Manager if you have:
  • Minimum 15 years research and Awards programme experience with a demonstrable track record of organising successful events in Asia Pacific.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong research abilities and quickly understand a wide range of topics and issues in the legal, regulatory and compliance sphere.
  • Strong telephone and interpersonal skills, experience dealing with clients required
  • Focus on time management and ability to focus on a number of different projects at any one time, experienced in managing all aspects of event production from start to end.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher education
  • Fluency in English, 1 other Asian language advantageous
  • This is a managerial role, and only candidates who have direct report management experience will be considered.
  • Candidates with more than 18 years of relevant experience may be considered for the Director position.

  • Strong research skills and experience in judges and participant acquisitions
  • Ability to work with sponsors, and the sponsorship team to achieve commercial success of the events assigned
  • Ability to bring along best practices and experience from previous roles
  • Strong organisational, record keeping and time management systems
  • Candidates with an open mind to pick up commercial acumen, ability to navigate in a complex and dynamic environment
