About UsLiquidX Studio is a high-conviction, high-touch venture studio focused on building application layer companies within web3.Pixelmon is One of the largest market-cap NFT collections in the gaming category. We are building out the first truly decentralised IP, first with games but moving to animation and other distribution channels. Innovative tokenomics, including fractionalised IP ownership and royalty sharing model.We are based in Singapore and Malaysia with many of our team collaborating remotely from countries like New Zealand, Spain, Indonesia, and Brazil. With large backing from our recently raised funding round, we aim to create a unique experience with immersive gameplay and extensive lore that will wow all gamers.About the RoleAs a senior backend engineer, you will be working closely with a diverse team of software engineers, game developers, designers and product managers to develop the web3 application layer that powers our ecosystem.These include, but are not limited to: * Building our IP through Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

• Creating engaging and innovative technology products to engage and support our Pixelmon community
• Developing the web3 integration layer between our upcoming games and NFTs

What You Will Do

• Participate in and contribute/lead technical design and discussions with peers and stakeholders to decide the best technical approaches to product problems.

• Write and test high-quality product or system development code, utilizing your expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and familiarity with JavaScript/ TypeScript (NestJS).

• Participate in code reviews and provide valuable feedback to ensure quality and outcomes, with a keen eye on performance optimization and backend security best practices.

• Set up and maintain the cloud infrastructure for your product and tools, using AWS services like EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and ECS.

• Contribute to new and existing documentation and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.

• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on operations and quality. Use JIRA/ Confluence for issue tracking and project documentation.

Note that if you currently do not have experience with Solidity and Web3, you will be expected to pick it up and execute it within a production environment quickly.Requirements

• Experience and Expertise: At least 4 years of experience in a software engineering role, within a product or engineering-led team. Strong ability in Java (Spring Boot) for backend services and a good grasp of JavaScript/ TypeScript using NestJS.

• Database Technologies: Expertise in SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) and proficiency in NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) for effective data handling and caching mechanisms.

• CloudInfrastructureandDevOpsSkills:ExtensiveexperiencewithAWS, proficiency in Docker for containerization, and advanced knowledge in CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Deep experience with Java testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito, and knowledge of integration testing frameworks.

• Security and Performance: Strong understanding of backend security protocols, OAuth, and security best practices. Skills in backend performance tuning to handle scalability issues efficiently.

• Blockchain Technologies: Familiarity with Solidity, understanding of ImmutableX, and knowledge of libraries like Web3.js or Ethers.js is advantageous.

• Professional Skills: Strong ability to break down business requirements into technical requirements and communicate technical trade-offs.
