We partner with global industry leaders such as S&P Global / IHS Markit and Refinitiv to provide connectivity across the value chain and co-create a unique and integrated ecosystem.Our ambition is to become the reference global platform to trade loans.About the roleWe are looking for a talented technical professional to join our engineering team as a backend engineer.Based in Singapore, you will be part of a fast-growing fintech-startup team where your primary responsibility will be supporting our cloud based electronic market and trading platform for corporate loans. You should also be keen on working in a start-up environment. If you are motivated and results-driven, we'd like to meet you.Compensation includes a monthly base salary inclusive of CPF, plus equity-based component per iLex's ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan).You will: . Design, develop and maintain a scalable backend architecture for the iLex electronic market & trading platform. . Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle and continuously strive to improve the SDLC process. . Provide L2/L3 application support for our microservices platform hosted on Kubernetes. Microservices are predominately written in Spring boot (Java) . Be a subject matter expert and a focal point on all application support matters. . Help in analysing code, troubleshooting issues, deliver enhancements and perform bug fixes. . Support external application & data interfaces from various data providers and our partners. . Be involved in designing, developing and supporting our cloud data infrastructure and data lake . Collaborate with the product and QA teams to increase the use of test automation. . Be a part of technology risk management initiatives supporting the entire application lifecycleWhat we look for: . 4-5 years of experience and background working with Linux and other open-source technologies . Solid understanding of object-oriented programming . Familiarity with concepts of Microservices and REST . Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems . Good exposure to frameworks such as Spring Cloud, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate . Troubleshooting of Java applications, performance analysis, monitoring and be able to suggest improvements. . Experience with relational database, preferably with PostgreSQL . Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/GitHub and build tools such as Maven or Gradle . Knowledge on writing test cases with Junit and mocking frameworks like Mockito. . Experience with any container platform like Kubernetes is a plus. . Experience with any cloud platform like AWS/GCP is a plus. .
