We are looking for Biostatistician to join us. This role will be required to provide biostatistics support in clinical epidemiology and health services research. Working closely with the investigators in study-design, sample size / power calculation and formulating statistics analysis plan. Conduct analysis in setting-up dataset according to research questions. Analyse prospective epidemiological data and health services research data. Support investigators in literature review, preparation of scientific publications and research grants. Regularly conduct training courses in biostatistics as well as Supervise and mentor biostatistician Keep abreast of and advise on the latest statistical techniques and tools.Quality Improvement Regularly perform rigorous quality checks to ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of data with various databases. Embrace continuous improvements as our way of life by improving and refining work performance on a daily basis. Contribute actively to department's Kaizen or other service quality improvement projects and initiative.Others Perform other duties assigned by Reporting Officer. Adhere to Hospital and Department policies and procedures.REQUIREMENTS Master's degree (or higher) in Statistics, Biostatistics or Mathematics with strong statistical content. Candidate with PhD and work experience will be an added advantage. Preferably with track record of productive research in the life sciences, evidenced by peer-reviewed publication record. Experience in handling high-dimensional data, statistical analysis within academic clinical research or the pharmaceutical industry. Competent with common statistical software and programmes (e.g. SAS, STATA, R and SPSS). Programming experience with SAS or R. Experience in using biostatistics to analyze prospective epidemiological data and health services research data. Ability to present results orally as well as in writing to non-statisticians. Ability to work in an environment with tight timelines and multiple priorities.Yishun Health is a network of medical institutions and health facilities of the National Healthcare Group in the north of Singapore.
