Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with an European Independent Bunker trading firm looking to add an experienced Senior bunker trader to their back to back team withing the Shipping hub of Singapore to provide flexibility to their global business and further increase their relations with suppliers and customers across the SEA & APAC regions. The company had operated within the Marine fuels market for over three decades with offices across Europe, Asia and The Americas.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for expanding the Back to back trading of Bunkers / Marine Fuels / MGO / LSFO / Lubricants / Alternative Fuels to ship owners, operators, traders on a global scope
• Build relations with suppliers within Asia with a highlighted focus on Singapore, China and Korea. Knowledge of setting up all relevant documentations for credit lines and KYC.
• Establish relationships with end-users and suppliers to facilitate back to back bunker trading for the group across APAC utilizing the groups systems and flexible offerings to the market.
• Enhance existing relationships with counterparties in the bunker markets globally leveraging upon the company's niche market exposure within the Mediterranean.
• Stay on top of market news and insight, understanding market analysis within global ports and pricing producing market reports to clients.

Experience:

• 4 years' experience working within the Bunker / Marine fuels trading house of physical supplier.
• Strong relations with physical suppliers within the major ports across APAC region, especially Singapore, China & Korea.
• Understanding Hedging and pricing tools to facilitate confident and effective trading of bunkers / marine fuels within the market.
• Proven record of generating profitable trades within the Marine Fuels / Bunker market with own customer portfolio.
• Fluent in English (Additional Language would be preferable)
