As a member of our family-owned business, you will plan, buy and negotiate for the Accessories category specifically in Watches and Jewellery within the Asia Pacific region to achieve profitable results. In addition, you will also represent Heinemann in the best possible way when dealing with external stakeholders. As a Senior Buyer, Accessories, you will:

Your new job includes

  • lead and support Brand negotiations aligned with the Asia Pacific Regional strategy set by the Head of Department to ensure that Heinemann continues to be a stable and reliable Brand partner while also ensuring that Heinemann achieves the most competitive and favourable terms and conditions.
  • maintain a positive and fruitful partnership with Brands to support our Customers’ preferences, needs and requirements through our local Retail and Distribution entities and partners.
  • identify and analyse trends, including competitors’ analyses and industry’s latest news, to ensure that strategies and plans implemented are relevant and appropriate to the Asia Pacific market.
  • define merchandise strategies to meet the Company’s financial targets and productivity metrics which includes performance, sales, inventory, receipt, and margin goals.
  • provide technical and professional expertise when supporting the category for new projects and tenders.
  • communicate, inspire and motivate Team Members by providing timely and relevant business information as well as sharing knowledge and expertise to the over-all Team to achieve the Category’s set objectives.

What you should bring along
  • a Degree in Business, or any related discipline with at least 5 years of practical experience in a Purchasing function preferably within the Retail industry and/or within the Fashion and Accessories category.
  • proficiency in using SAP system and Microsoft Office such as Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Visio and Teams.
  • strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to sustain long-term relationships.
  • good business and financial acumen attention to detail resulting in an organised day-to-day management of the team, and external stakeholders.
  • a pronounced can-do attitude, complemented by the capability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • a strong and reliable leader with the ability to mentor and develop Team Members.
