Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with overseas suppliers for food/baking ingredients, packaging, equipment, and other related products. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chains. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings and quality standards. Manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Monitor global market trends, pricing, and supply availability. Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and product innovation. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure imported dairy products meet regulatory and company standards. Address and resolve any quality or compliance issues with suppliers. Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of dairy products. Manage import documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with international trade regulations. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock levels. Minimize waste and obsolescence through effective inventory planning. Develop and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality. Track and report on cost savings and procurement performance metrics.

Prerequisites

Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in FMCG industries. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field. Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs processes, and import/export documentation. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g. SAP). Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends. * Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
