Senior Chartering Manager, Projects & Parceling

We are looking for a skilled professional in the dry bulk and project chartering industry based in Singapore ready to take on the role of \xe2\x80\x98second in command\xe2\x80\x99 within the Projects & Parceling division for the region. With advanced plans to further grow NORDEN\xe2\x80\x99s footprint in Asia, the Projects & Parceling team will have an increased focus on new tradelines and markets as it moves forward.

Whilst you will still be an integral part of the day-to-day chartering team the key role will be to ensure the chartering desk runs smoothly, whilst assisting the Head of Asia in overseeing the entire Asia Pacific Projects & Parcelling team consisting of about 17 staff across 5 countries.

The position is situated at NORDEN\xc2\xb4s office in Singapore located at Suntec City.

The Projects & Parceling segment is handled by four charterers and three operators in close collaboration. You will be reporting to the Head of Projects & Parceling in Asia.

The tasks that await you

Establish and maintain external as well as internal relationships (customers, brokers, owners, internal stakeholders, etc.)

Maximise earnings on own tonnage especially by parcelling voyages.

Create direct value doing short-term contracts, tonnage and cargoes.

Develop Strategic trades to enable growth globally.

Coordinate and position our fleet in close cooperation with your direct team and our global offices.

Your competences and core qualifications
As a person, you are outgoing and take pride in building good relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally. You are committed and able to work on your own, while prioritising the agenda of the team. Besides this, you find energy in coordinating and communicating to ensure an optimised workflow.

Apart from this, you have:

A minimum of 7 years of experience within Project or Dry Cargo Chartering, especially within the Handysize or MPP segments.

Experience within the area of Far East Markets.

Experience in optimising earnings on tonnage and cargoes.

Knowledge of SEDNA and IMOS.
